概要
　Microsoft Windows 8に標準搭載された。
　2011(平成23)年9月13日、Windows 8のWindows Developer Previewに同梱でPre-release版(v10.0.8102.0)を公開した。
　2012(平成24)年2月29日にPlatform Previewが公開された。
　後に、Windows 7用もリリースされた。
